St. Peter’s Health Partners Offers Program on Early Identification & Treatment of A-Fib and Stroke

St. Peter’s Health Partners will hold a free dinner and education program for EMS providers entitled “The Beat Goes On: The Best Approach for Early Identification & Treatment of A-Fib and Stroke,” Wednesday, May 11, 6 – 9 p.m., at St. Peter’s Hospital, Mercy Conference Rooms 1 – 4, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany.

The program will feature presentations on pre-hospital protocols for atrial fibrillation, stroke and chest pain/myocardial infarction; pathogenesis and treatment; and stroke in the setting of atrial fibrillation.

Featured speakers include the following experts from St. Peter’s Hospital: Samuel Bosco, MD, FACEP, director of emergency medicine; Donald Doynow, MD, FACEP, EMS coordinator; Guillerno Sosa-Suarez, MD, director of the Heart Rhythm Center; and Lawrence Corbett, DO, from the Department of Neurology.
