Robert Phang, M.D., FACC, FHRS, a cardiac electrophysiologist with Albany Associates in Cardiology, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, appeared on WNYT’s Live at Noon on Valentine’s Day to discuss heart health. Dr. Phang addressed atrial fibrillation (AFib) and potential treatments, including The WATCHMAN device.
The WATCHMAN is a permanent implant that defends against stroke by helping to prevent blood clots from forming in the heart. It is designed for patients with nonvalvular AFib.
