St. Peter’s Health Partners is thrilled to welcome Hamza Murtaza, M.D., to St. Peter’s Orthopedics.
Dr. Murtaza practices general orthopedics with a special focus in diseases and conditions of the hip and knee. An experienced orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Murtaza previously practiced at OrthoNY in Albany.
Dr. Murtaza received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He completed a residency in orthopedics at Albany Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in adult reconstruction at NYU Langone Hospitals. He received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo.
St. Peter’s Orthopedics, a new practice within St. Peter’s Health Partner’s Medical Associates, offers comprehensive orthopedic care with a focus on personalized treatment, advanced surgical techniques, and improved recovery times. The team, led by Dr. Murtaza, Imran Akhtar, DO, and Kyle Angelicola-Richardson, M.D., offers same-day appointments and performs surgeries at St. Peter’s and Samaritan Hospitals.
