Experienced health care provider Amber Dier, MS, PA-C, has joined Palliative Care Partners, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
Dier, a board-certified physician assistant, is part of the practice’s inpatient team, practicing palliative medicine within the hospital setting.
A physician assistant with a diverse background in both urology and neurology, Dier previously worked at Adirondack Urology Associates, Ellis Hospital, and Saratoga Hospital.
Dier received her master’s degree from Stony Brook University and her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo, both located in New York. Prior to obtaining her master’s, she conducted and published clinical research on “retinopathy of prematurity” with a retinal specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her professional interests include patient advocacy and health equity.
Palliative Care Partners offers a team-based approach for patients diagnosed with a serious illness. Specialty-trained doctors, advanced practitioners, nurses, social workers, and chaplains work together with a patient’s other health care providers to help provide relief from pain and the symptoms and the stress of serious illness.
