“Walk With A Doc” on June 10 in Troy

Please join us in Troy on Saturday, June 10, for “Walk With a Doc,” a heart-healthy program featuring a one-mile walk with an area cardiologist.

Offered every month by Samaritan Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital, “Walk With A Doc” provides an opportunity for people to get moving, be active, and think about heart health. A cardiologist leads the one-mile walk, enabling participants to ask medical questions in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.

“Walk With A Doc” is free and open to the public. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., at the Troy Farmers Market in Troy Riverfront Park. The walk begins at 8 a.m.

Walking for as little as 30 minutes a day can reduce your risk of coronary heart disease, improve your blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. It can also elevate your mood, and reduce your risk of osteoporosis, cancer and diabetes. So lace up your sneakers and join us!

Future 2017 “Walk With A Doc” dates are:

  • June 10
  • July 8
  • August 12
  • September 9
  • October 14
