Catholic Health World: St. Peter’s in Eastern New York Merges its Troy Hospitals

St. Peter’s Health Partners on September 9, 2018, celebrated the completion of its $105 million Troy Master Facilities Plan, and held a grand opening for the new Heinrich Medicus Pavilion at Samaritan Hospital.

Catholic Health World published an article on the recent merger of Samaritan and St. Mary’s hospitals in Troy. The two facilities became one legal entity on January 1, 2019.

The move completes a transition begun around 2011, when St. Peter’s Health Partners formed through the combination of three systems and set forth plans to consolidate inpatient care and reduce bed counts in Troy.
