WTEN: Albany Memorial, Samaritan Hospital Merging

Brooke Lamparello, M.D., of St. Peter’s OB/GYN, appeared on WTEN/News10 to discuss the importance of regular cervical screenings and the efficacy of the HPV vaccine in recognition of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York, will merge into one legal entity on January 1, 2020. As a result, signs at the facility will read “Samaritan Hospital – Albany Memorial Campus.”

WTEN aired a story on the 3,000th birth of 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital. That is the largest number of babies ever delivered in one year at the hospital, and is believed to be the largest number of deliveries in one year at any facility in the Capital Region.
