The Times Union reported on the first baby born in the Capital Region for 2025, which happened at St. Peter’s Hospital just 20 seconds into the new year.

Liam was born Wednesday at St. Peter’s Hospital just after midnight.
The hospital identified his parents as Rob and Kate M. of Saratoga County. Liam, who weighed 6 lbs., 3 oz., and measured 19 inches, is the couple’s first child.
