Joana Sun, FNP-C, has joined Capital Region Family Health Care, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
Sun is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in comprehensive family medicine. She brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate, holistic approach to caring for patients of all ages.
Sun earned her master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received her bachelor’s degree from Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Prior to joining Capital Region Family Health Care, Sun spent eight years practicing family medicine in Santa Clara, California, with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, part of Sutter Health. During that time, she developed a strong foundation in delivering personalized care and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Her clinical interests include endometriosis management and pelvic pain, lifestyle medicine, sports medicine, and comprehensive chronic disease care. She is dedicated to empowering patients to take an active role in their health through education, prevention, and tailored treatment plans.
