Jill Genua, M.D., has joined Capital District Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
Board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Dr. Genua practices colorectal surgery at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Dr. Genua’s professional interests include inherited and genetic aspects of colorectal cancer and women’s health/pelvic floor disorders. She specializes in all aspects of benign and malignant colorectal disease including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, incontinence, and hemorrhoids, emphasizing compassionate care with minimally invasive approaches.
Dr. Genua was previously a colorectal surgeon and assistant professor of surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital and School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College and her bachelor’s degree from Siena College. She completed her surgical residency at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut and her fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
