Garner P. Johnson, M.D., FACS, FASCRS, of Capital District Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates, has joined St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
A board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon, Dr. Johnson practices colon and rectal surgery, treating a wide range of diseases and disorders of the small intestines, colon, rectum, and anus, including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, hemorrhoids, and other related conditions.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Brown University, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota and completed surgical residencies at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois and at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts. He completed a Clinical and Colon & Rectal Fellowship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
