St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) on May 15 held a dedication and open house to celebrate the new Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Samaritan Hospital. The new unit opened to patients on May 22.

St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates is pleased to welcome Aakash Garg, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, to Cardiology Associates of Schenectady. Dr. Garg is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology and is also skilled in treating structural heart diseases. He comes to the Capital Region from Providence, Rhode Island, where he worked as an interventional cardiologist with Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Garg received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He completed his residency and fellowships at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Brown University in Providence. Dr. Garg’s professional interests include interventional cardiology and structural heart diseases.
