Leader-Herald: WellNow Urgent Care Now Open in Gloversville

The Leader-Herald reported on the opening of the Capital Region’s newest urgent care center in Gloversville by St. Peter’s Health Partners and WellNow Urgent Care.

From the story:

Urgent care services are provided on a walk-in basis, or patients may visit WellNow.com to check in online and view up-to-date wait times. Patients can also connect with a WellNow provider 24-hours a day, seven days a week, using the company’s telehealth platform.

According to a news release, the new center in Gloversville will provide timely service for ailments such as sprains, burns, colds and allergies while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. Rapid COVID-19 testing is also available with no appointment necessary; patients can walk in or schedule a visit online.

The opening of the Gloversville center marks WellNow’s 11th location in the Capital Region through its joint venture with St. Peter’s Health Partners. Other nearby centers include Albany, Clifton Park, Glens Falls, Hudson, Latham, Niskayuna, Rensselaer, Rotterdam, Saratoga Springs and Troy. “Urgent care centers like WellNow are growing across the country because they provide members of the community — and visitors to the area who do not have a regular primary care provider — a low cost, appropriate treatment setting that is readily available when they need care,” said James K. Reed, M.D., president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners. “Coordinated care is essential for the community’s long-term well-being, which is why WellNow will be working to create relationships with primary care physicians in the Gloversville area.”
