Spectrum News reported on the expansion of inpatient cardiology services at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
From the story:
Albany Associates in Cardiology, Cardiology Associates of Schenectady and Saratoga Cardiology Associates are expanding inpatient cardiology services at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
The three practices are teaming up at the hospital to create St. Peter’s Cardiology Associates. It comes after Capital Cardiology discontinued services at Samaritan.
St. Peter’s Health Partners says the coverage expansion was effective Jan. 1. It adds that the expansion makes the group the largest cardiology group upstate.
“St. Peter’s Health Partners remains committed to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care throughout our community, including our patients in Rensselaer County and beyond,” said Dr. James Lawrence Phillip, an Albany Associates cardiologist. “This change at Samaritan Hospital reflects a significant investment by SPHP to ensure our patients continue to have stable access to exceptional cardiac care close to home.”
