The 2019 Capital Region Heart Ball honored several cardiac nurses from St. Peter’s Health Partners. Norine Kelsey, RN, of St. Peter’s Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness, was this year’s recipient of the Donald Led Duke Heart Hero Award.

Chest pain can occur from a number of causes including heartburn, muscle strain, a sports injury, or asthma. When in doubt, assume the pain is related to your heart until proven otherwise, especially if you are experiencing pain that you have never felt before.

Julia Palma, a cardiac critical nurse at St. Peter’s Hospital, was one of four people recognized today by the City of Troy and the Troy Turkey Trot organizers for helping save a man’s life at the annual Thanksgiving Day race.
