WRGB: Albany Memorial Campus to Reopen Monday Amid Flooding Cleanup

WRGB reported on cleanup efforts at the Samaritan Hospital – Albany Memorial Campus following a flooding event on Friday, Aug. 9.

From the report:

St. Peter’s Health Partners’ Albany Memorial Campus, which has been closed this weekend due to flooding, will reopen to patients Monday at 7 a.m.

This includes the Emergency Department, which has been on diversion — meaning patients who would normally be brought there are instead being taken to other emergency rooms in the area — since the Friday event.

“I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to everyone involved – especially our dedicated facilities team and restoration crews – who have been working around the clock to safely restore services to the Albany Memorial Campus,” said Kim Baker, senior vice president of hospital operations for St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP). “I would also like express my gratitude to our patients and colleagues for their understanding and flexibility which have aided us in responding swiftly to this incident.”
