Every five minutes, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with lung cancer. While lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths among all Americans, survival rates have dramatically improved over the past decade, thanks in part to improved screening and treatment.
Dr. Duncan Savage, chief of radiation oncology at St. Peter’s Hospital, discusses these advancements in recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month during an appearance on WTEN/News 10’s Women’s Health Wednesday.
