13 Kids Who Care: John Cogan

St. Peter’s Health Partners, WNYT-NewsChannel 13 and the Times Union have once again teamed up to “uncover” and honor youth in the Capital Region whose volunteer work touches the lives of our residents and improves the quality of life in this area.

The program, “13 Kids Who Care,” is now in its 18th year of recognizing truly exceptional kids who cast a bright light on our future.

This week features John Cogan, a 12th grader at South Colonie Central High School. John is the president and spokesperson of a student run organization called iCARE, which stands for “Integrity, Community, Accountability, Respect, Empathy.” John is also committed to several other causes including “Raiderfest,” a community-wide inclusive event to raise funds and awareness about battling cancer and leading a healthier lifestyle.
