St. Peter’s Family Medicine, a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA), held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 28 to formally open at 713 Troy-Schenectady Road, Suite 224, in Latham.
The new, first-class medical practice opened its doors to patients January 12.
The Capital Region Chamber of Commerce recognized this practice as a significant investment in local health care, providing access to convenient, high-quality primary care and women’s health services in the growing Latham market.
Senator Jacob Ashby presented the team with a citation to recognize the significant milestone. Also speaking at the event was Rick Field, Councilman, Deputy Supervisor, Town of Colonie, who highly praised the SPHP services he personally has received.
Dr. Steven Hanks, president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners and St. Joseph’s Health, and Kellie Valenti, executive vice president of SPHPMA, spoke to the roughly 30 guests in attendance, recognizing the importance of clinical infrastructure in a growing community like Latham and looking ahead to plans of more expansions in the same medical building, including comprehensive orthopedics, ambulatory surgery, imaging, lab and physical therapy, to better meet the medical needs of patients in this area.
Board-certified providers, Dr. Olufemi Akinyede and Candice Stahl, NP, are delivering all-encompassing comprehensive primary care and family health services to individuals from infancy to geriatric care.
