St. Peter’s Health Partners and WellNow Urgent Care Open New Center in Troy

On December 23, 2020, St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) and WellNow Urgent Care℠ opened the doors to their newest center in the Capital Region. Located at 222 9th Street, Troy, NY 12180, the new facility offers treatments for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. with no appointment needed. The opening of this new center marks WellNow’s 50th location and the seventh through the joint partnership with SPHP.

“Through our partnership with WellNow Urgent Care, we’re proud to be a go-to resource for quality and timely urgent care,” said James K. Reed, M.D., President and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners. “We’re happy to welcome patients to our new center in Troy, and to continue our mission of improving the overall health of our community, especially as we continue to battle COVID during this second wave of the pandemic.”

“We’re pleased that our joint venture with St. Peter’s Health Partners continues to grow and bring even more convenience to residents in the Capital Region,” said John Radford, M.D., WellNow Urgent Care President. “We’re proud to support the community in this way, and to provide accessible urgent care services – including COVID-19 testing – to even more patients.”

The new Troy center provides timely service for ailments such as sprains, burns, colds and allergies while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. COVID-19-related services, such as molecular swab and blood antibody serology testing, are also offered. Patients can book an appointment online to be seen but do not need a referral or prescription to receive COVID-19 testing. Urgent care services are treated on a walk-in basis, but patients may also visit to check in online or view up-to-date wait times. WellNow accepts most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Fidelis and Veterans Affairs TriWest. A full list of services can be found online at and additional COVID-19 information can be found at

WellNow Urgent Care also offers Capital Region employers a wide range of occupational medicine services. From DOT/19A physicals and Workers’ Compensation assistance to respirator fit exams and audiometry, businesses can partner with WellNow to develop a custom occupational medicine program fit for their industry.

WellNow’s Troy center joins a growing list of Capital Region locations, including Albany, Clifton Park, Glens Falls, Hudson, Latham and Niskayuna. Patients can also connect with a WellNow provider 24 hours a day, seven days a week using the company’s telehealth platform. A full list of WellNow facilities can be found online at
