Dr. Alexandros Karavas will be the distinguished speaker at a free educational seminar, “Cardiac Surgery: How a Cardiac Surgeon Can Help You and What to Expect,” at 6 p.m. on July 11 in the Mercy Auditorium on the St. Peter’s Hospital Campus.
The cardiovascular intensive care unit at St. Peter’s Hospital has received a silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
St. Peter’s Hospital is the first hospital in New York state to achieve accreditation for its atrial fibrillation and electrophysiology program from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.
