St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates is pleased to welcome Ginny Shelton, MD, FAAP, a board-certified pediatrician, to the team at St. Peter’s Family Health Center in Albany.
Dr. Shelton is a board-certified pediatrician with extensive experience in pediatric primary care and a strong dedication to adolescent health. She delivers compassionate, comprehensive care to children and teens throughout the Capital Region, helping families navigate every stage of development with confidence and support.
Dr. Shelton earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. She completed her pediatrics residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Before joining St. Peter’s, Dr. Shelton served as a pediatrician with Community Health of Central Washington in Yakima, Washington, where she developed a strong foundation in community-based care.
Her professional interests include including contraceptive care, disordered eating, LGBTQIA+ health, mental health, and supporting both parent and child in early development.
