Were you seen at the 2026 Capital Region Heart Ball on Feb. 27, 2026, at the Albany Capital Center? The event was presented by the American Heart Association and honored St. Peter’s Health Partners vice president of philanthropy Peter Semenza with the 2026 Donald Led Duke Heart Hero Award.
The star-studded evening was the culmination of the American Heart Association’s year-round campaign to improve and save lives from heart disease and stroke. More than 600 people were at the Albany Capital Center to support the association’s biggest fundraiser of the year, which brought in $500,000 for the cause. Dr. Steven Hanks, president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners and St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, served as the event’s official chairperson.
