Dr. James Figge Authors Chapters for Thyroid Cancer Textbook

St. Peter’s Health Partners endocrinologist James Figge, M.D., MBA, has contributed to a new textbook, Thyroid Cancer: A Comprehensive Guide to Clinical Management, Third Edition, published this month by Springer-Verlag New York.

Dr. Figge authored the book‘s second chapter, “Epidemiology of Thyroid Cancer,” and co-authored the seventh chapter, “Radiation-Induced Thyroid Cancer.”

Written by a panel of world-class clinicians, the encyclopedic, highly acclaimed book addresses all aspects of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, initial treatment, and long-term management of all varieties of thyroid cancer, according to the publisher.

Dr. Figge practices at Capital Region Diabetes and Endocrine Care in Rensselaer, Waterford Health Center, and Cohoes Family Care, all practices of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates. He also serves as an adjunct associate professor with the University at Albany’s School of Public Health.
