Dr. Sudeep Ross Named Chief Medical Officer of SPHPMA

Experienced physician executive Sudeep J. Ross, M.D., MBA, has been named chief medical officer of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates. His appointment begins full-time on June 15.

Experienced physician executive Sudeep J. Ross, M.D., MBA, has been named chief medical officer of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA). His appointment begins full-time on June 15.

Dr. Ross joins SPHPMA from the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served since 2013 as chief medical and informatics officer. In that role, he led clinical operations, clinical quality, information technology, population health initiatives, as well as pharmacy and diagnostic services for the center.

Prior to that, Dr. Ross was regional medical director for Conmed Healthcare Management in Tucson, Arizona, where he led quality assurance and clinical quality improvement initiatives, and provided clinical and administrative leadership for the organization’s medical, dental, and behavioral health operations. Previously, he was regional medical director for NextCare Urgent Care, which has six locations across southern Arizona and serves more than 50,000 patients annually.

From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Ross was medical director of Priority Care/Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He oversaw all clinical and administrative functions at the center, which serves a rural area and sees approximately 11,000 patients per year.

Dr. Ross is a board member and current vice president the Missouri Association of Family Practice, and serves as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Missouri School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, and an adjunct clinical faculty member of the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York University at Buffalo. He received his medical degree from the J.S.S. Medical College in Mysore, India, and completed a residency in family medicine at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ross also received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
