St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates is pleased to welcome David Williams, M.D.
A board-certified cardiothoracic and general surgeon, Dr. Williams practices cardiothoracic surgery at Ellis Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Dr. Williams’ professional interests include treatment of valvular heart disease with a focus on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Mitra Clip, aortic valve replacement, mitral and triscuspid valve replacement and repair. He also specializes in coronary revascularization, aortic aneurysm repair, and septal myectomy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Dr. Williams received his medical degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He completed a combined residency and fellowship in general and cardiothoracic surgery at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. While there, he also completed an advanced fellowship in structural heart disease. He received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.
