Mercy Cares For Kids Celebrates Mother’s Day with Art and Thanks

Students at Mercy Cares For Kids celebrated Mother’s Day early, with the center hosting an art show and reception to recognize and thank moms for all they do, every day.
Teachers and staff from the early childhood program set up an art gallery in the Mercy Auditorium, filling it with items created by the students. Hundreds of works of art hung from the walls and room dividers set up for the occasion; sculptures and dioramas were displayed; and refreshments were served for moms, dads, family members, and students to enjoy.

A photo booth was set up to capture memories of the day, and each mom was given a carnation from their child as they left the gallery.

Mercy Cares For Kids, sponsored by St. Peter’s Hospital, is a nationally recognized Early Childhood Program accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
