St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates Welcomes Dr. Gennaro Daniels
Gennaro Daniels, M.D., of Capital District Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates, has joined St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
A board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon with nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Daniels specializes in both open and minimally invasive surgical management of a vast range of colon and rectal conditions, including constipation, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, polyps, colon cancer, rectal cancer and many others.

Dr. Daniels has a long history with St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP). He has served as Chief of Surgery and Treasurer of the Staff at Samaritan Hospital – Albany Memorial Campus and practices at all of SPHP’s acute care facilities. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan and is a member of the Rensselaer County Medical Society, the New York State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
Dr. Daniels earned his medical degree and master’s degree from Albany Medical College and completed his residency there. He completed his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
