Hill Country Observer: Eddy Village Green A Nursing Home Revolution

Congratulations to the team at Eddy SeniorCare in Schenectady for making the entire cast of “The Wizard of Oz” come alive at the 48th Annual Gazette Holiday Parade in Schenectady on November 21. The team even took home an award for the “Most Theatrical” float at the holiday parade. Great job to Dorothy, the tinman, the scarecrow, the cowardly lion, and the whole gang at Eddy SeniorCare!

Applications are now being accepted for a new full-tuition nursing scholarship offered by The Eddy and Siena College to registered nurses interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The deadline is Oct. 11.

Most patients are eager to forget about their hospital experiences after they are discharged, but one former patient at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital wanted to give back, and the result was a brand new one-of-a-kind patient transfer therapy car which he conceived and secured fundraising for through area businesses and his Rotary connections. See the WNYT report here.
