NewsChannel 13: New St. Mary’s Cancer Treatment Center Opens

A new program will enable women who are patients at St. Peter’s Hospital Cancer Care Center to enjoy free salon, beauty, and other services at Rumors Salon and Spa in Latham.

Currently, there is no early detection test available to diagnose pancreas cancer. But, a patient’s chance of survival can potentially increase tenfold if their cancer is diagnosed in time for surgery – making early detection paramount.

The new St. Mary’s Cancer Treatment Center opens in Troy. Funded solely through donations, the center features many unique services and amenities, including chemo rooms specially designed by chemo patients, private infusion suites, an array of integrative wellness programs, a state-of-the-art library, and a convenient retail shop.
