Times Union: Eddy Haven for Abused Elderly Expands to Saratoga County

The Terrace at Beverwyck’s Community Service Group receives a generous donation of yarns from Darn Good Yarn of Schenectady and founder, Nicole Snow. Members of the group will use the yarn to make hats, scarves, and lap blankets to donate to area hospitals and community organizations in need.

Keith Mayhew, an Eddy Visiting Nurse Association home health aide, cares for homebound clients, especially those with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS.

The Eddy, in partnership with Siena College, has established a new joint scholarship program offering full-tuition scholarships to registered nurses interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing and working in the increasingly important field of population health.
