WTEN: Cardiac Patients Thank Doctors Who Helped Save Their Lives

WTEN aired a story on the second annual Heart Recovery Reunion, held June 14 at St. Peter’s Hospital. The event reunited cardiac patients with the care teams who helped save their lives.

From the report:

Many doctors save lives, and a few local doctors got a close-up look at how their work impacts their patients. St. Peter’s Hospital hosted a Heart Recovery reunion on Friday.

A few cardiac patients met with some of the nurses, doctors and other medical professionals who helped save their lives. It gave patients a chance to share their stories of resilience and say thank you to all those who helped them during a time of need.

“I really appreciate the opportunity to express my appreciation and my admiration for everyone here who helped me get through a very difficult situation,” cardiac patient Laird Scranton said.
