WTEN reported on St. Peter’s Hospital welcoming the first Capital Region baby of 2025.

Baby Liam was born 20 seconds after midnight.
He weighs 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and is 19 inches long. He is the first child for Rob and Kate M. of Saratoga County.
In 2024, the first baby of the year was born at Albany Medical Center and in 2023 at Saratoga Hospital. According to St. Peter’s, the babies born on the first, and year-round, are symbols of hope and better days.
