
Kathleen Kosinski, PT, CLT, a physical therapist at St. Peter’s Health Partners’ Pelvic Health Center, appeared on WTEN’s Women’s Health Wednesday segment to discuss the importance of pelvic health, a topic that has been getting a lot of attention lately on social media.
Kosinski explained why strengthening the pelvic floor can positively impact the whole body.

Pelvic health is important for both women and yes, men, too. Men also have a pelvic floor. Health professionals say pelvic health directly impacts bladder and bowel control, sexual function and core stability. It’s particularly crucial though for women to be aware of various life changes including pregnancy, menopause and aging – which can all weaken the pelvic muscles.
