St. Peter’s Hospital Recognizes Volunteers for their Service

St. Peter’s Hospital held its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at the Albany County Club on June 5, acknowledging the hundreds of adult volunteers who give thousands of hours of their time every year throughout the hospital and the community.

From helping staff the St. Peter’s Hospital information desks, to providing service in the thrift shop and gift shop, to making pillows for heart and lung patients, or sewing camisole bags, volunteers at St. Peter’s make a difference for patients, staff, and the entire community.

“Each year, people remark at how much the hospital and St. Peter’s has changed and continues to grow. This year has been no different,” said Amanda Weller, volunteer recruiter for St. Peter’s Hospital, in her remarks at the event. “Yet, you all continue to meet each change with grace and a sense of humor. I continue to be struck by the intensity of your commitment to your service. It truly is amazing work you do.”

The event included the acknowledgment of volunteers who had reached significant hour milestones in 2016. Those recognized included:
