SPHPMA Providers Discuss “The Impact of Robotic Surgery on the Community”

St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates providers Elizabeth Germinder, M.D., and Christina Sanders, M.D., of Troy Surgical Associates, held an educational session on November 30 to discuss the latest advancements in minimally invasive surgery and robotic general surgery.

Speaking to a crowd of physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals, Dr. Germinder and Dr. Sanders spoke about how these technologies have evolved over the years, and what is currently available for patients in Troy and surrounding communities.

They discussed the benefits of minimally invasive and robotic surgery techniques for the procedures they offer, including hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, benign and malignant upper and lower gastrointestinal diseases, and single site cholecystectomy.
