WTEN: Whooping Cough Cases

 

Cases of pertussis are rising nationwide. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show more than six times as many cases of the illness, commonly known as whooping cough, have been reported as of Nov. 30, compared to the same time last year.

Iram Mall, M.D, of St. Peter’s Family Medicine, discusses the rise in cases as well as symptoms and the best way to prevent yourself from getting sick, during an appearance on WTEN/News10’s Women’s Health Wednesday.
