Steven Gurien, M.D.
Steven Gurien, M.D., has joined Capital District Colon and Rectal Surgery, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, where he practices colorectal surgery.
Dr. Gurien specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic and laparascopic surgery, for colon and rectal cancers, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and anorectal disease.
A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Gurien received his medical degree from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo in New York. He completed his general surgery residency at Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York, and his colorectal fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University in New York.
