James K. Reed, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP), today shared the below memo with our organization’s 12,500 employees:
We are pleased to announce that we have a signed contract agreement with Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan (CDPHP) that will keep St. Peter’s Health Partners’ facilities in network for those with CDPHP health insurance.
The new contract takes effect January 1, 2017, and ensures there will be no disruption in care for patients with CDPHP health insurance seeking treatment at SPHP facilities and ancillary providers.
Strong partnerships with health care insurers, like CDPHP, are important to support and advance the quality of health care we provide to the community. This new contract will enable us to continue to make important investments to recruit and retain physicians and staff, upgrade technology, and update facilities. All of these factors translate directly into the delivery of high-quality care.
Throughout the negotiations, both organizations worked diligently to reach an agreement and avoid patient disruption. We look forward to furthering our relationship with CDPHP and remain committed to working together to deliver high quality, affordable health care.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to SPHP.
