Recognizing Colleagues and Patients on Clinical Trials Day

May 21 is Clinical Trials Day. Thank you to everyone in our organization who plays a role in clinical trials, and all of our patients who participate. Clinical trials are carefully controlled studies in which patients volunteer to participate in the testing of new drugs, new combinations of drugs, or procedures. These research studies are necessary in the development of promising new treatments for serious diseases like cancer.

If you are interested in participating in a clinical trial, please speak to your provider and the members of your health care team to determine whether you qualify, and to discuss the possible benefits and risks.

The Research Department at St. Peter’s Hospital Cancer Care Center may be reached at 518-525-6739.
