Last weekend, St. Peter’s Health Partner colleagues at The Eddy, along with their family members and relatives of Eddy facility residents, joined the Capital Region Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Team Eddy is still tallying the final numbers, but it looks like the team of 42 raised close to $8,000.
In addition to walking, Team Eddy was proud to once again sponsor the walk’s Promise Garden. The Promise Garden allows participants to raise flowers representing a promise to remember, honor, care, and fight for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia.
Team Eddy was one of 195 teams present at the Siena College campus on September 23 for the 2017 Capital Region Walk to End Alzheimer’s. As whole, the event has raised over $335,000 for Alzheimer’s care, support, awareness, advocacy, and research.
St. Peter’s Health Partner’s and The Eddy are proud to partner with the regional Alzheimer’s Association chapter to support the cause. Jess Flynn, community liaison with Eddy DayBreak Adult Day Service, led Team Eddy.
