Legal Services VP Robert Swidler Published in NYS Bar Journal

An article by Robert N. Swidler, vice president of legal services for St. Peter’s Health Partners, was published in the July/August edition of the New York State Bar Association‘s Bar Journal.

The article, entitled “Health Care Proxies: Ten Difficult Issues,” addresses questions like, “Can a person who lacks decision-making capacity still create a health care proxy?” and “Can the agent override a decision previously expressed by the patient?”

Swidler helped develop and secure the enactment of the Health Care Proxy Law when he served as assistant counsel to then Governor Mario Cuomo in 1990-92.
