Business Review: St. Peter’s Will Finish Troy Hospital Consolidation Sooner Than Planned

The Albany Business Review published an article about this week’s announcement that SPHP would accelerate its Troy Master Facilities Plan and the planned transitions of Samaritan and St. Mary’s hospitals.

From the story:

St. Peter’s Health Partners will start seeing big savings from moving inpatient, acute care services into one of its two Troy hospitals about a year ahead of schedule.

Albany’s largest hospital system will consolidate inpatient services at Samaritan Hospital in Troy starting Oct. 1. That’s a year sooner than was planned when the $99 million Troy hospital transition began in 2014. St. Mary’s Hospital will become the hub for most outpatient services.
