Leader-Herald: New Cardiology Clinic Opens in Gloversville

The Leader-Herald newspaper published an article on the grand opening of Cardiology Associates of Schenectady’s new office, located at 23 Arterial Plaza, Route 30A, in Gloversville.

From the article:

After 30 years operating out of Nathan Littauer Hospital’s basement, the Cardiology Associates of Schenectady (CAS), a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, held a grand opening of its new $1.3 million cardiology office Thursday at 23 Arterial Plaza Route 30A.

CAS had its ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new clinic Thursday. The location includes state-of-the-art diagnostic testing equipment, including echocardiogram, EKG, and stress testing.

Dr. Christopher Dibble said CAS started its presence in Fulton County in 1990 with only one cardiologist who would drive out once a week to see patients. But, that has grown now to a bustling practice with 25 heart doctors treating patients out of the new clinic, which includes a staff of registered nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

“I think what sets us apart here in Fulton County is a couple of things, including continuity because we see patients here; we do their testing here, and then, if they need advanced cardio care, we take care of them at Ellis Hospital,” Dibble said. “And what makes this unique is it’s the same doctor. I see patients here [at the clinic] every Friday and then I take care of them at Ellis during the week if they need procedures and that sort of thing.

“I think that model is pretty unique because — most of the time — when you see a specialist in Fulton County, they practice here and no where else, so we’re able to do both routine cardiac care here, but then have the same doctors offer sub-specialized care at Ellis.”
