St. Peter’s Health Partners and Sock Out Cancer are proud to present a benefit concert featuring the internationally renowned ensemble William Close and The Earth Harp Collective. The stunning centerpiece of the concert will be the Earth Harp—an instrument invented and created by William Close. The Earth Harp’s giant strings will run from the stage out over the audience, transforming the theatre into an instrument and allowing the audience to experience the music literally from within the instrument. According to an article published in The New York Times, “It’s like sitting inside a giant cello.” You won’t want to miss this amazing musical experience. The two men first met when Donnie Tessitore, nursing director for cardiovascular services at St. Peter’s Hospital, offered to help Nicholas Farruggio with his bags. Nick was entering St. Peter’s for the first of what would be several stays as he received in-patient treatment for cancer.
