WTEN reported on the announcement that a multi-year agreement has been reached between St. Peter’s Health Partners and the health insurance company Aetna.

The two have been in negotiations for over six months trying to reach a fair agreement. If an agreement was not reached by Tuesday, St. Peter’s Hospital would have been out of network for Aetna users in 2025, but state law would allow hospital access for fully insured employer-sponsored commercial benefit plans through February 28.
According to St. Peter’s, the contract reached was a fair agreement and would allow policy members to stay in the network.
