WTEN: Unvaccinated Healthcare Workers Could Lose Jobs Over New Vaccine Mandate

Steven Hanks, M.D., chief clinical officer for St. Peter’s Health Partners, was interviewed by WTEN/News10 for its story on New York state’s new COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which eliminates the religious exemption for healthcare workers who do not want to get vaccinated.

From the story:

Steven Hanks, the chief clinical officer for St. Peter’s Health Partners, says this isn’t the first time a debate happened over religious exemptions and immunizations.

“They mandated the measles vaccination as well as the absence of any religious exemptions. They felt that the public health need outweighed the religious rights,” said Hanks.
