St. Peter’s Hospital Honors Patient Care Technicians, Technical Staff

At a ceremony last week, St. Peter’s Hospital recognized 64 patient care technicians and surgical sterile processing department technical staff for their extraordinary service.

These colleagues, nominated by staff and patients, each received a “Care Excellence Award for Extraordinary Patient Care Technicians” certificate and a special pin.

Technicians play a critical role and are at the heart of care provided to hospital to patients, DesChamps said.

The ceremony concluded with a presentation by Sister Mavis Jewell about her namesake Sister Mavis Jewell Medical Respite program, which recently opened on the St. Mary’s campus in Troy.  St. Peter's Hospital recognized 64 patient care technicians and surgical sterile processing department technical staff for their extraordinary service.
