Margaret Holcomb, DNP, CNM, has joined St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA). A certified nurse midwife, Holcomb is one of the founders of Capital Region Midwifery, which is now a practice of SPHPMA.

Dr. Holcomb practices obstetrics and routine well-women care. Her professional interests include facilitating access to quality health care for all women, and promotion of the group prenatal care model.

Dr. Holcomb received her doctor of nursing practice degree from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She earned her post-master’s certificate in midwifery from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and her master’s degree from Sage Graduate School in Troy. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.

In addition to her midwifery practice, Dr. Holcomb is a member of the Burdett Birth Center board of directors and is president of the Burdett Birth Center medical staff.
