St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) held a ribbon-cutting on November 10, 2020, to celebrate the opening of its newest project, St. Peter’s Medical Arts in Clifton Park.
With an investment of more than $8 million, SPHP has created the only facility in the region that offers state-of-the-art technology for heart care, vascular care, advanced cardiac imaging and primary care all under one roof.
“We are proud to open St. Peter’s Medical Arts, truly a one-of-a-kind facility, that will significantly expand our presence in southern Saratoga County, and bring a wider range of high-level services, providers, and specialists to this community,” said James K. Reed, M.D., president and CEO of SPHP. “This people-centered strategy represents a shift in how health care is best provided to our communities, by bringing together multiple specialties in one location, making health care easier for patients and for their families.”
Located on Route 9 in Clifton Park, the 18,000 square-foot space offers comprehensive cardiology services with a Cardiac Walk-in Clinic for heart patients; advanced imaging suite to detect complex heart conditions; Vascular Walk-in Clinic for vascular patients; dedicated vein suite with vascular ultrasound and procedure rooms to detect and treat peripheral vascular disease and other vein conditions; stress tests and echocardiograms to assess blood flow through the heart; and primary care with same-day appointments.
These expanded services are provided by providers and staff at St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates (SPHPMA), one of the region’s largest multispecialty physician groups, with more than 665 physicians and advanced practitioners in more than 100 locations.
“There was a clear need here for expanded capacity, particularly in the area of cardiac and vascular services,” said Kellie Valenti, president of SPHPMA. “Patients in southern Saratoga County no longer have to drive long distances to receive specialized heart care. We believe the best health care should be comprehensive, integrated, close, and convenient.”
This is the second SPHPMA multi-specialty medical facility in Clifton Park. The St. Peter’s Medical Campus, located at 1 Tallow Wood Drive, offers primary, pediatric, obstetric and gynecologic, urologic, diabetes and endocrine care, and is also home to satellite offices of St. Peter’s Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgery, and St. Peter’s General Surgery.
“We are excited to see the growth of St. Peter’s here in our community,” said Pete Bardunias, senior vice president of community advancement for Capital Region Chamber. “Having this new medical arts campus in Clifton Park is proof once again that our community is at the forefront of providing the best options for residents and visitors to obtain needed healthcare services. Thank you, St. Peter’s Health Partners, for making the investment in Clifton Park, Halfmoon, and the surrounding area.”
